LG Dare
From the sleek, slim appearance, to the all touch-screen operation, the LG Dare will be the talk of the season. Loaded with multimedia functionality, this 3G V CAST-capable phone has VZ NavigatorSM, V CAST Music, and a 3.2 megapixel still and video camera that automatically adapts to low or unevenly distributed light for better quality pictures. The photo editing tool lets customers turn their photos into personal masterpieces with features that include borders, landscape and a fun doodle feature right on the screen. Customized photos can be uploaded to a social networking site directly from the phone. The intuitive and graphical contact list allows customers to find the right number with the flick of a finger for speedy texting, e-mailing and
phoning. Favorite contacts can be reached with a drag and drop photo interface. Additional information on the LG Dare will be available later this month.
LG Decoy
A dream for the multi-tasking consumer, the glossy front and satin back LG Decoy is the world’s first phone to have a Bluetooth® hands-free headset integrated into the design. The headset slips into the back of the device for easy transport and charging. The slider phone also sports a five-way directional joystick for easy navigating through all of Verizon Wireless’ multimedia features such as V CAST Music and V CAST Video. Customers planning to hit the road this summer can download VZ Navigator on the Decoy to get visual and audible directions to thousands of destinations, locate businesses and other points of interest, get maps of a location, and share directions with others. The Decoy will be in stores on June 16.

Expanded Qualifying Rounds and MTV Competition Give More Texters a Shot at Winning Up to $50,000!

This year’s competition still focuses on speed and accuracy but also offers expanded qualifying rounds and an MTV component so that even more people can battle it out on the QWERTY. • SMS Wild Card Play (June 19-25) – Players will receive four separate text messages between June 19 and June 25 with a specific phrase, at any given time! After receiving the text message, players will reply and re-type the original phrase as fast as possible. The fastest texter for each phrase will win an LG enV2 and a trip for two to New York City to compete for $50,000 at the 2008 National Texting Championship.
• On the June 24 episode of MTV’s highly rated “A Shot at Love 2: Happy Hour, the Reunion” viewers will race to transcribe a phrase in the first ever two-minute TV micro- event. An east and west coast winner will each enjoy a seat at the national finals event. |

Players will compete for the chance to advance to the finals in New York City on July 9 to battle it out for the ultimate prize - $50,000 and bragging rights to the championship title. The competition is open to anyone 13 and older (minors need written caregiver consent, available at LGTexter.com) and is free, but participants must own and use an activated LG enV2, enV, V or Voyager by LG Mobile Phones to compete.

The LG National Championship will take place in New York on July 9, 2008 at the Roseland Ballroom in Times Square. There will be three qualifying rounds that day, leading to a championship round and, ultimately, the LG National Texting Champion, with a grand prize totaling $50,000. In addition to the championship, there will be opportunities throughout the competition for players who are eliminated to win thousands of dollars in consolation prizes, including a range of LG products. The final rounds of the game will be played on the LG enV2, which each player will be provided with for
competition only.
During the competitions, players will compete in pools and be asked to type phrases on their LG handsets exactly as they appear on the overhead LG plasma screens with no typos or abbreviations. The first player in each pool who sends an error-free message to the right contact will advance to the

Historic Peterson Automotive Museum To Host Los Angeles Give Away
LOS ANGELES – Approaching this summer on July 1, two states, California and Washington, will follow Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York by implementing a new law that requires people to use hands free devices while behind the wheel when dialing and driving. In an effort to raise awareness about hands free options, which enable safer driving, LG Mobile Phones will be hosting an event that will help keep drivers safer on the road by educating attendees about this new regulation, and through a giveaway that will equip participants with the necessary hands free appliances.
On Thursday, June 19, 2008 at the Peterson Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, LG will conduct a press briefing about LG’s role in a recently adopted law that will suspend the use of mobile phone activity while driving. As part of this event, LG has partnered with Erik Estrada who will conduct interviews regarding this new law, and will also distribute 1,000 LG Bluetooth headsets to Los Angeles residents. LG product specialists will also be onsite to offer support to those with questions about pairing and headset capabilities.
In light of this new upcoming law, LG also recently launched three new headsets in order to provide safer driving experiences for consumers who may not be mandated by this new rule, but who do keep safety top of mind while on the road. The HFB 500 comes equipped with speaker phone, allows for up to 16 hours of talk time, and has the ability to cancel out excess noise in the background, The HBM 310 permits up to 6 hours of talk time and features an E–clip movable ear bud that users can adjust for a more comfortable fit. And, the HBS 250 comes equipped with ten hours of talk time and is loaded with entertainment capabilities which also include ten hours of music time.
In addition to these new headsets, LG has also launched the LG DecoyTM, the world’s fist mobile phone with a detachable Bluetooth wireless headset. This new phone features a discreet built- in headset on the back, and boasts entertainment capabilities that include a music player and 2.0 megapixel camera and camcorder. Now, going hands free is not only convenient and safer for drivers, but also fun.
